Burlington Hero Delivers 100s Of Lettuce Plants To Community

BURLINGTON, MA — In hard times, many step up to help others. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

He is a junior at Burlington High School

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
While everyone is staying at home, Burlington high junior Matt Tengtrakool has founded an organization called QuaranGreen. QuaranGreen gives out free lettuce plants to Massachusetts communities to promote healthy eating habits and reduce stress during this pandemic. He has been awarded 3 national grants from the PeaceFirst organization, the Pollination Project, and the New England Grassroots Fund. He has delivered over 400 plants throughout five communities - Burlington, Billerica, Woburn, Wilmington, and Tewksbury. He has over 40 volunteers in his campaign.
