Burlington High School Football Coach Resigns: Report
Burlington Head Football Coach Shawn Maguire had been involved with BHS athletics for over 30 years.

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington Head Football Coach Shawn Maguire has resigned from his position just over two weeks after allegations of verbal misconduct towards players.
According to a report by the Burlington Union, Maguire resigned from his position Wednesday after 30 years of involvement with school athletics. Maguire was placed on paid administrative on Sept. 28 after the school received allegations of "verbal misconduct towards players by the coach."
Maguire's Attorney Dale Merrill told the Union that the longtime coach had not been pressured to resign.
