Burlington Issues Boil Water Order After E. Coli Found
E. coli was found in 3 of 11 water samples taken Wednesday. Residents should either drink bottled water or boil water before drinking.
BURLINGTON, MA — The town called a boil water order Thursday evening after E. coli was found in the water supply.
E. coli was found in 3 of 11 water samples taken Wednesday. Residents should either drink bottled water or boil water for at least one minute (and letting it cool) before drinking.
Anything you made with water — such as ice, beverages, formula or uncooked food — on or before Wednesday should be discarded.

The E. Coli bacteria has been detected in the Town of Burlington”s drinking water system. As a result, the MassDEP has issued a boil water order until further notice. Do not drink the Town water without boiling it first. For additional information go to the Town”s website.
