Burlington's Lynne Putney is an RN at Boston Children's Hospital and has a passion for caring for young children.

We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
As a pediatric nurse for the past 47 years, Lynne has been caring for children from all around the world. And even though she had other options, she has chosen to throw on her scrubs and work at the hospital during the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
Even though Lynne could have long-since retired, she has a passion for caring for young children and continues to work full time. In addition, she chooses to work with young adults at nearby Hanscom AFB, serving as both a role model and as a mentor.
