Burlington Plastic Bag Ban To Return Oct. 1

In July, the Board of Selectmen extended a state ban on bag bans that began early in the coronavirus pandemic.

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington's plastic bag ban returns Thursday, Town Administrator Paul Sagarino noted at the Board of Selectmen's meeting, Tuesday.

The Board extended the state bag ban in July, to give the town's businesses more time to work through their stock of plastic bags. The state allowed plastic bag use early in the coronavirus pandemic.

The extension expires Wednesday.
