Burlington Police Officer Charged With Domestic Violence

BURLINGTON, MA — A Burlington police officer was charged Thursday with assault and battery on a household or family member. Prosecutors say David McLean, 51, of Dracut was involved in an altercation around 1 a.m. at a Dracut home.

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office said McLean assaulted an "adult female victim who is known to him after a verbal argument."

McLean was released on personal recognizance and ordered to stay away from and have no contact with the victim. He was also ordered not to consume alcohol.
