Burlington Police Report Wave Of Car Break-Ins, Theft In Area

Woburn has had a number of break-ins near the town line, while Burlington police report at least one in town.

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington police reported a waves of car break-ins in the area, Monday. Woburn police reported a number of break-ins Sunday night near the Burlington line, while Burlington police received at least one report on Maguire Way.

Residents are encouraged to contact the department at 781-272-1212 if their cars were broken into or if they have video or information.

The police also encouraged residents to lock their cars.

"The overwhelming majority of motor vehicle breaks we have had for the past decade have been overnight breaks of unlocked cars in their driveways," the department said in a Facebook post. "This has also been the case around the country."
