Burlington Restaurant Offers Free Meals To Federal Workers

The Friendly Toast at the Burlington Mall just got a little friendlier.

BURLINGTON, MA -- Managers at the Friendly Toast at the Burlington Mall said they will pay the check for any federal worker when they present proof of employment. Thousands of federal workers have been furloughed or working without pay as a result of the federal government shutdown, now in its fourth week.

The offer includes two entrees and is available at all of the restaurants locations, including restaurants in Portsmouth, NH, Cambridge, Boston and Burlington, VT.
