The Burlington girl submitted a video that showed her build and answered the question, “What does LEGO® mean to you?”
“Lucy had an awesome Pluto that she had built out of DUPLO Bricks. She said that LEGO means you can fix things, which to me, is one of the great things about LEGO bricks.” said Megan Amaral, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston’s Master Model Builder and Creative Crew Judge.

“I liked that she said if something breaks you can always put it back together. It’s one of the things we like to teach children who visit the attraction.”
The contest took place via Facebook from March 20 through April 30. Over 30 entries were reviewed and judges selected 13 children that had excellent building skills, but also embodied the creativity of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston.
“We chose children that demonstrated their building skills, creativity and imagination through their models,” said Megan Amaral. “I’m really excited to work with this next group of talented young LEGO builders that come from across New England.”
The induction of the new Creative Crew will be held on Friday, June 23 at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston
. The members will receive their official gear, do a special build with LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston Master Model Builder Megan Amaral and take photos with Megan and Bertie, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston’s mascot.
