Burlngton Community Transportation Program

Having trouble getting around, if you meet certain criteria the town of Burlington may be able to help.

Are you over 60? Disabled? Or under 300% of the poverty level? If so, and you can’t/don’t drive this program could be for you. It utilizes an on demand rideshare company with the option for additional concierge services for those who do not use a smartphone.. If you have a smart phone you can use Lyft to order a ride and have a car at your door within minutes. You can still use rideshare if you don’t have a smart phone. Using GoGo Technologies you can use any phone to call for a ride and you can schedule a day or more in advance or for pickup in a few minutes. You can use the rides to get you to the doctor, your job, grocery shopping, a friend’s house, even the mall. You can also use the service to take you out of Burlington as long as the ride begins or ends in Burlington.

You are responsible for the first $1 and the town covers up to $10 after the first $1. Anything over $11 is your responsibility. The cost of your ride will change throughout the day. For instance, a ride during rush hour will cost more than a mid-morning or afternoon ride, but most rides within Burlington are under $10.

We are continuing to enroll people in this program and will continue to do so through the pandemic!
