Artists: Enter Work For 'Best Friends' Juried Art Show

Gallery 529 is hosting a juried art show to benefit the MSPCA - Nevins Farm. Submit your jpegs inspired by "BEST FRIENDS."

As part of Gallery 529’s efforts to promote the good work of the MSPCA - Nevins Farm, the gallery is doing a number of different projects to raise funds for the farm. Our primary effort is the juried art show, “Best Friends.” For more information about how to enter your artwork, click here. The opening for the “Best Friends” art show is December 6 from 4 - 6 pm. It is free and open to the public.

The member artists of Gallery 529 are also glazing ceramic stoneware bowls that will be sold to benefit the MSPCA. The bowls will make fine pet bowls and can be used for many other purposes as well. This is done in conjunction with the juried art show “Best Friends” , which will be exhibited during the month of December and will also raise needed funds for the MSPCA.

Lastly, the Gallery is inviting the public to get involved too! This Sunday, November 22, from 4 -6 pm, the public is invited to come in and glaze a bowl to benefit the MSPCA - Nevins Farm. For $20, one can buy a bowl to glaze. The bowls will then be fired and ready to pick up December 6, during the opening reception for the juried show “Best Friends.” The bowls are made with stoneware clay, making them dishwasher safe, microwaveable and very sturdy. There are many sizes available. It is a great opportunity to make a Christmas present for the pet-loving family member! To register, click here.
