Fall Programs For Kids and Adults at Wright-Locke Farm

Enjoy the Farm's education programs throughout the autumn season

Though summer may be approaching its end, there is still a lot happening at Wright-Locke Farm (Winchester, MA) during the fall season. The U-Pick organic raspberry operation is in full swing, the farmers are still harvesting lots of fruits, veggies, herbs, and flowers from the fields for local markets, and the historic 1827 Barn is humming with late season special events and education programs.

Featured this month are a handful of educational programs for kids and adults. Fall After School Programs for kids in grades K-8 begin the week of September 14th. There are still spots available in the Wednesday Program for kids in grades K-2 (held 3:30-5pm) and in the Tuesday Fall Farm Club for kids ages 8-14 (held 3:30-5:30pm). Both programs meet one day per week over six weeks, allowing kids to enjoy the many changes in the farm’s landscape during its transition from summer to autumn while learning about agriculture and nature on the historic farmstead.

Adult Workshops this September include a Flower Arranging Workshop with Soluna Garden Farm this Sunday, September 13 from 10am-12pm as well as programs on raising backyard chickens, outdoor vinysana yoga, and backyard honey beekeeping.
