Gas Prices Continue to Climb, Hitting $2 Mark in Massachusetts

Where can you find the cheapest gas in Burlington right now?

BURLINGTON, MA - For the sixth straight week, gas prices are up in Massachusetts. Prices have hit $2 per gallon for the first time since last December, according to AAA Northeast.

In an April 11 survey of prices in the Bay State, AAA found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2 per gallon, which is two cents higher than last week and 30 cents higher than five weeks ago. Massachusetts' prices are four cents below the national average. A year ago at this time, the average price in the state was 34 cents higher at $2.34.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 30 cents, from a low of $1.89 to a high of $2.19.
