Gourmet Burger Chain BurgerIm Opens In Burlington
The chain began in Israel and is now headquartered in California. The Burlington location is the first in Massachusetts.
BURLINGTON, MA — A gourmet burger chain has opened its first Massachusetts location in Burlington. As first reported by Boston Restaurant Talk, BurgerIm opened its doors in Burlington. The chain, originally Israeli and now based in California, specializes in "miniburgers," sold in duos and trios.
The Burlington location has been in the works since 2018. It's located in the Middlesex Marketplace, 90 Middlesex Turnpike and open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Burgerim stresses that it sells "miniburgers," not sliders. The burgers are typically sold in orders of three. Donna Tuchner founded the chain in Israel after attending culinary school in New York. Tuchner later sold the chain to an investor, who opened the first U.S. location in Los Angeles in 2013.

The chain now also offers "big burgerim": more typical third- and quarter-pound patties. In addition to beef, they have lamb, chicken, falafel, salmon and plant-based burgers.
