Heavy Rain and Wind Wednesday for Burlington
This system is likely to produce 1 to 2 inches of rain throughout the area, even higher amounts in isolated areas and maybe a thunderstorm.

BURLINGTON, MA - After the snow, sleet and freezing rain overnight Tuesday, heavy rains and damaging winds are in the forecast for Wednesday into Thursday.
Wednesday will start with showers in the morning before steady rain moves in during the afternoon hours. The area could also see heavy downpours and which could cause localized street and poor draining flooding.
The National Weather Services says heavy rain Wednesday night into Thursday is likely to produce 1 to 2 inches of rain throughout Massachusetts. Some isolated areas could see even higher amounts with 2.5 to 3 inches of rain possible, especially if thunderstorms develop.

Strong Winds Late Wednesday Night into Thursday
Strong Southerly winds late Wednesday night into Thursday morning could cause isolated tree and power line damage, NWS officials are saying. The timing for the strongest winds is from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Coastal Flooding for Southern Part of State
Areas of minor coastal flooding are possible around the morning high tide on Thursday for Bristol County. High tide occurs between 9-10 a.m. across most locations. A potential storm surge of 2 to 2.5 feet and waves of 10 to 15 feet approaching the exposed south coast. Some erosion is also possible along the south coast of Massachusetts, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
