February 2016- The Burlington Players continues their 2015-2016 season with Lanford Wilson’s Book of Days, running February 26-March 12 at the Burlington Players’ Park Playhouse, One Edgemere Avenue, Burlington, MA, just off Winn Street and Route 95. Ben Delatizky directs Wilson’s play described as “…an absorbing drama...with rich characters” – (CurtainUp). Within minutes, the audience is pulled into an alternately comic, tragic, and poignant murder mystery that examines the fascinating characters that populate Dublin, Missouri, a small town in the Heartland dominated by a Cheese Plant, a fundamentalist church, and a Community Theater. Delatizky’s talented ensemble features Boot Boutwell, Jessica Dee, Wendy Feign, Sandra Huerta, Stacy Kernweis, Eric Lamarche, Paul William Murphy, Gus Pirnie, Rachael Rabinovitz, Brian Shea, Webb Tilney, Mike Wood
The Burlington Players are celebrating more than 50 years as a community theater. The group is a recent national champion of the American Association of Community Theatres, winning Best Production at AACTFest 2013 with their production of “Radium Girls”. Next up for the Burlington Players is the season closer, “Leading Ladies”. Mark the calendar for early May for this show which the Houston Press described as “…so funny, it will make sophisticated and reasonable men and women of the 21st century cackle till their faces hurt.”
