Frank Pepe Pizza Owner Dies
Frank Pepe, which counts Burlington among its three Massachusetts locations, is one of the country's most beloved places to get a slice.

BURLINGTON, MA — Gary Bimonte, the owner of the beloved Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, has died.
The pizzeria's website Thursday morning confirmed Bimonte's death.
"It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Gary Bimonte," the company's statement reads. "Gary was a wonderful brother, son, uncle, and friend to so many, and he was loved by all of us."

Bimonte's family told WSFB he was in his 60s and suffered a heart attack.
The popular pizza spot's Burlington Mall location is one of three in Massachusetts and was the 11th store the New Haven, Conn.-based pizzeria opened in New England. There are now a dozen locations.

"Gary was the pride and joy of the Pepe’s family, and there are no words to express the immense void that his passing has left in our hearts," the company said. "He truly loved and cherished our family’s history, and he was so proud of the legacy that has carried through all these years."
Frank Pepe's pizza has been No. 1 on the Daily Meal's "Best Pizza in America" list.
