Shawsheen Tech Playoff Run Ends With 44-39 Loss To Stoneham
Stoneham will play the winner of Saturday's game between Hamilton-Wenham and Arlington Catholic in next weekend's Division 6 North final.
STONEHAM, MA -- Shawsheen Tech couldn't knock off second-seeded Stoneham Friday night, falling 44-39 in the second round of the high school football playoffs. With the win, Stoneham (7-2) advances to play the winner of Saturday's game between top-seeded Hamilton-Wenham (8-0) and Arlington Catholic (5-3) in next weekend's Division 6 North finals. With Friday's loss, Shawsheen Tech, which serves students from Burlington, Wilmington, Bedford, Tewksbury and Billerica, ends its playoff run at 6-3.
