Burlington's Katie Mackey was deployed to a coronavirus ICU, her nominator wrote, and did not hesitate to do her part.

We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Katie was "deployed" from a general surgical unit to work in a coronavirus intensive care unit. She did not hesitate to join in to help care for the sickest of patients.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
She is smart, caring,compassionate and an excellent nurse. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful generation of nurses!
