Stand Up Against Domestic Violence
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Be part of the SOLUTION!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
We are kicking off our Annual Tree lighting in front of the Burlington Police Station on Tuesday, October 1st at 6:30pm. All are welcome at the Community Life Ctr. Building parking lot. We will gather at 6:30 and walk over to the Police Station front lawn for the 7:00pm lighting of the tree. The tree will be lit up every night throughout the month of October and this represents Hope and remembrance. The Burlington Police Department is always so supportive and Chief Kent is very kind to allow us to light up their tree on the front lawn.
Please join Saheli/Lahey Clinic/Burlington Police Department/Survivors and residents of Burlington and others, as we say a few words and pass out a battery votive to each participant. We will remember those lives lost, supporting survivors and bring hope to those that are still living with abuse. When we come out of the shadows and speak up together...we gain strength. If you would like to help make this event a success and would like to help by putting up posters and wrapping the trees in ribbon or say a few words, please contact me at wmlrock@gmail.com. This is a great opportunity to show others in our community, that we do not tolerate Domestic Violence and we stand together! We are their voice. Please come and be inspired to spread hope. All are welcome.
