BURLINGTON, MA - The following is a sampling of log entries provided by the Burlington Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday. Feb. 26
10:35 a.m. - Management from Carli Convenience, 324 Cambridge St., reports a suspicious male at one of the pumps. Same requesting an officer check it out. Checks out OK party send on his way.
12:48 p.m. - Caller from Abercrombie & Fitch, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, reports a past theft.

1:24 p.m. - Person called into station to report an unknown person filed his tax return.
2:02 p.m. - Cellular caller reports solicitors in the roadway in the area of Cambridge Street and Wayside Road. Sergeant spoke to both parties.

2:27 p.m. - Person in station reports he received a letter from the IRS saying someone with his name and social security number tried to fraudulently file for his federal tax returns. Same was already resolved with the IRS. At this time the reporting party had not been victim of any monetary loss. Same was advised to contact the police if that were to change and given an ID theft Packet.
3:43 p.m. - Caller from Cresthaven Drive reports a resident also of Cresthaven Drive claims his nail gun damaged her window on a previous date. Police said the resident felt the incident occurred overnight and was a random act of vandalism possibly by a pellet gun. The officer on that call found no evidence of that. The reporting party on this call has been advised that Burlington Police aren’t investigating him for this incident. The reporting party stated the building dept recently got involved. Officer left a message with the Building Department on his findings.
3:43 p.m. - Resident walked into the station to turn in some old misc ammunition that he found in a house that he was cleaning out. Same has been store in the deployment room and sergeant was notified.
5:31 p.m - Loss Prevention from Lord & Taylor, 75 Middlesex Turnpike Loss Prevention reports a past theft. Hispanic female and black male fled the area in a vehicle and a watch was stolen.
6:13 p.m. - MBTA Police reports bus 681 has a disorderly person on board. MBTA en route and asked for assistance until their arrival. The party was removed and placed on the next bus.
8:34 p.m. - Caller requesting police check the parking lot of Burlington High School to ensure uninvited students were moved along as requested.
