Three Arrested for Vehicle Breaking and Entering, Woman Reports Ex Tried to Run Her Off Road

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, December 14- 

  • In the early morning there were multiple citations issued for the winter parking ban. Read about the ban here to avoid getting a ticket
  • At 8:53 a.m. a Baron Park Lane caller reported her vehicle was struck overnight. 
  • At 12:43 p.m. there was a report of an erratic driver on Cambridge Street. 
  • At 1 p.m. a caller at Wendy's reported a man walked into the woman's restroom and used a stall next to her. 
  • At 1:46 p.m. a caller from Lord Baron apartments reported his property that was in his assigned locker had been thrown into a dumpster. Items included a computer, tools, documents, books and personal affects. Caller to seek civil complaint. 
Sunday, December 15- 
  • At 1:38 a.m. police arrested Luis Valez, 18, of 1025 Arboretum Way, Burlington, on charges of breaking and entering a vehicle/boat in the nighttime for a felony (5 counts) and receiving stolen property over $250. Police also arrested two 14-year-old juveniles on charges of breaking and entering a vehicle/boat in the nighttime for a felony, receiving stolen property under $250 and resisting arrest. Arrest made after a Maple Street caller reported a breaking and entering of his motor vehicle.  
  • At 8:35 a.m. the DPW reported a van on Bedford Street slid off the road and went into a resident's front lawn and damaged a mailbox. Driver to replace mailbox. 
  • At 10:23 a.m. police issued a summons to a Woburn man on a charge of larceny by check over $250. 
  • At 10:57 a.m. a MassDoT caller reported a plow operator on Cambridge Street was pushing snow into the road and it was taking up an entire lane of traffic. Plow operating agreed to remove the snow from the street. 
  • At 5:27 p.m. a woman came to the station to report that her ex-boyfriend tried to run her off the road with his truck with a snow plow. She said he was also harassing her current boyfriend who was in the vehicle. Police spoke to all parties and settled things for the evening. Incident occurred on Cambridge Street. 
  • At 10:50 p.m. police arrested Virginia Fields, 52, of 8 Cedar Street, Wilmington, on a charge of shoplifting $100+ by concealing merchandise.
