'Tireless' Burlington Hero Founded HelpIs

BURLINGTON, MA— When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Reason for recognition: Joyce started HelpIs over 10 years ago by giving free haircuts to people in need going for a job interview. She was able to get the Massachusetts legislature to declare May as the 'Month of Kindness' and is working with other states as well as internationally.

One thing to know: Tireless.... like the Energizer Bunny!!
