Top Aly Raisman Performance Keeps Her Dancing With the Stars
Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas were the first pair to be declared safe in the April 9 Dancing With the Stars results show.
Aly Raisman must be getting pretty used to topping the podium.
In Monday night's Dancing With the Stars episode, the Needham Olympic medalist and partner Mark Ballas for 27 out of 30 possible points.
The pair's performance of a contemporary dance to "Titanium" was strong enough to take the lead over challengers Kellie (Pickler) and Derek, and Zendaya and Val, who both scored 26 points.

It was the first time Raisman and Ballas finished in first place on the show. However, winning isn't new to Raisman, who earned gold and bronze medals at the summer 2012 Olympic Games in London. Raisman trains at Brestyan's American Gymnastics Club in Burlington.
As the top finisher, Raisman was not in jeopardy of being sent home. But she and Ballas performed their dance again Tuesday night, before being the first pair to be declared safe.

The same was not true for Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb and Victor Ortiz and Lindsay, with both pairs finishing with 18 points.
