Town Administrator To Approve Outdoor Dining, Liquor Licenses

The Burlington Selectmen voted Monday evening to temporarily delegate authority to the town administrator and town staff.

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington Town Administrator Paul Sagarino was granted the authority to approve temporary outdoor dining permits and liquor licenses, Monday.

The Board of Selectmen voted to grant Sagarino the authority, in an effort to expedite the process to allow local restaurants to reopen under phase two of the state's coronavirus reopening plan. Phase two, which began Monday, allows outdoor dining at restaurants.

In normal circumstances, the Board would have to approve each outdoor dining permit and liquor license.
