Tractor Trailer Accident Closes Middlesex Turnpike In Burlington
The accident closed the road briefly Monday afternoon and power was cut to the area after a truck hit a utility pole.
BURLINGTON, MA -- A stretch of Middlesex Turnpike was reopened Monday afternoon after being closed after a tractor trailer truck crashed into a utility pole. The crash forced crews to cut power to the area to safely evacuate people from vehicles caught in the traffic snarl.
Originally, police expected the stretch of road just south of the Interstate 95 to be closed for several hours, but it was reopened after just 30 minutes, according to WCVB, which first reported this story.
