The Weather is Dark and Stormy
But the Music at Act III is Live, Light and Jazzy...or is it heavy, man.
What are your plans for the weekend? The weather is supposed to be miserable - a good time to stop by Act II and enjoys its live music offerings.
Friday night, friends of Act III will be filling the building with music. George Garzone, Sean Farias and Miki Matsuki will bring their special brand of jazz to Littleton. How often can you listen to quality music out here in the suburbs?
Saturday, The Bobby Keyes Trio joins us at Act III. It has been said of the trio, “guitarist Bobby B. Keyes defines our American musical heritage by blending rhythm & blues, country, jazz, rock, pop and swing. His guitar playing is inspired and passionate, his musical taste is exquisite, and his sound is clean and refreshing.” The show starts at 9 pm and goes until 11 pm.

Sunday, Act III hosts it Jazz Jam. It is a great opportunity to come hear some great music. Sunday is also the opening of Gallery 529’s Memories Art Show, to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, so it should be a great afternoon filled with all kinds of wonderful happenings. A total celebration of the arts!
Thursday, October 8, pianist Ted Knowlton plays. Folks may know Ted from the Ritz Carlton, where he used to play. As usual, there is no cover charge, but tips are welcome!

Next Friday, Joe Reid plays the piano from 6 – 8 pm, and then the Joe Raia Quartet takes over.
Saturday, October 10, local favorites the Seacoast Stompers are back! Dixieland and toe tapping swing jazz. From 2 until 5, come on down and join the fun!
Act III, located in a rambling old farmhouse in the heart of Littleton Common, shares its space with Gallery 529. Gallery 529 is an artists’ cooperative with more than 30 participating artists. It has paintings, pottery, jewelry, fibre art, wood turned bowls, glass creations. Currently, the juried show, “Memories” is on exhibit. The show “Memories” is a benefit for Alzheimer’s Association. The day of the opening, October 4, 10% of all sales will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. The actual opening is from 4 pm until 6 pm. Free, and refreshments served. Come vote for your favorite piece of art – the winning artist gets a cash prize! Gallery 529 also offers workshops in the evenings for adults. Enjoy a glass of wine, do something creative, listen to great live music. Two sister businesses celebrating all the arts - music, culinary, visual and even literary!
