When is the First Day of School in Burlington?

Don’t look now, but summer is almost in the books and school is right around the corner.

Burlington students will be heading back to the classroom soon. But when exactly?

The answer to that question can be found on the Burlington Public Schools website.

According to the district’s calendar, school starts to get back in session on Tuesday, Aug. 19, when Burlington High School holds freshman orientation and Monday, Aug. 25, when teachers take part in professional development and classroom setup as the week goes on.

But things really get rolling on Tuesday, Sept. 2, after the long Labor Day weekend. That’s when all students return for the first day of school.
