Cambridge Artist Honored For Life and Work Thursday
Vernon E. Grant was a well-recognized cartoonist whose books of Vietnam War cartoons were recently republished by his wife.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Vernon E. Grant, a native of Cambridge, was a well-recognized cartoonist whose books of Vietnam War cartoons were recently republished by his wife, Betsy Grant. To celebrate his work there will be a reception followed by a program to present proclamations for July 28 being Vernon E. Grant Day in Cambridge as well as in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The event is Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Library at 449 Broadway.
Betsy Grant will be the hostess of the Reception, and will be on hand to speak about Vernon Grant's life and cartoons in her own words, according to a release.
