Cambridge Off Duty Police Officer Arrested After Bar Fight in Revere
25-year-old Cambridge officer had blood on his shirt after assault, prosecutors said.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - An off-duty Cambridge police officer was arrested July 10 after a Revere bar fight that left an employee with injuries.
Jonathan Vicente, 25, was arraigned July 11 in Chelsea District Court, released on his own recognizance, and ordered to return on Aug. 10, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office said. He was arrested shortly after 2:10 am on July 10 after an altercation at Volare, a restaurant on Broadway, that erupted when an employee confronted a group of men urinating in the alley behind the establishment, prosecutors said. That employee was physically assaulted and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, prosecutors said.
Revere police stopped a vehicle a short distance away occupied by Vicente and another man, prosecutors said. In light of witness statements, marks on Vicente’s hands, and stains consistent with blood on a shirt believed to be his, Vicente was charged with disorderly conduct while the investigation into the group assault continues, the Suffolk District Attorney's office said in a statement.

Vicente’s booking photo is not being released at this time because the identities and roles of the multiple assailants remain the subject of an active investigation that will rely at least in part on eyewitness identifications, prosecutors said.
