Cambridge Weather: Winter Storm Warning, Hourly Snowfall Forecast

CAMBRIDGE, MA — With snow (maybe a whole lot of snow) expected this weekend in Cambridge, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning lasting from 7 a.m. Saturday until 1 a.m. Sunday.

NWS warns of "near-blizzard conditions for southeast coastal Massachusetts, white-out conditions; snow and blowing snow" with severely reduced visibility.

The winter storm warning includes east coastal and interior southeastern Massachusetts, plus all of Rhode Island, according to NWS.

It could bring as little as four inches or up to eight inches of snowfall. Drivers should also factor in the potential of a strong northeast wind causing blowing and drifting snow, with gusts up to 35 miles per hour.
