FYI: Cambridge Firefighters Conducting Training Exercises Near Kendall Square

CAMBRIDGE, MA — If you numerous firetrucks and even smoke this week in the area of One Kendall Square, pause for a moment before ringing up emergency services.

Could be it's just the Cambridge Fire Department, which will be conducting training exercises with simulated smoke in the area over the next week.

The practice drills will take place at One Kendall Square, buildings 1500 and 1700, at Cardinal Medeiros Avenue and Binney Street, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 13, 15, 19 and 20.

According to Cambridge Fire, the exercise will include multiple fire trucks staging in the loading dock areas. This simulated smoke will likely be seen by people in the vicinity but will not be a hindrance to the public or traffic.
