Graduating Seniors Want to Gift Town Electronic Sign
Londonderry High School seniors recenty chose a class gift to give back to the school; a new electronic message board.

LONDONDERRY, N.H. - Londonderry High School seniors recently chose a class gift to give back to the school; a new electronic message board at the front of the high school on Mammoth Road. According to the Eagle Tribune, students are making their case to town officials, as the rules currently state that electronic signs are not allowed.
Class of 2018 President Jeff Cieslikowski spoke before the Town Council at a meeting May 7, saying a new, updated sign would bring good information to the community in a more clear, updated and timely way — a new era of getting the word out.
He added the sign would not be flashy, constantly moving or annoying to those passing by, but tasteful and simple, resembling a sign style already in use by other nearby schools including Pinkerton Academy in Derry.

It’s also a chore to change the lettering by hand and done by school grounds crews, making up hundreds of manpower hours every year and costing the school district thousands of dollars. The sign itself may cost about $20,000.
