Updated: Area Deemed Safe After Bomb Threat Investigation

Update: Shortly before 4:30 p.m., police from Harvard University and City of Cambridge said that, after a search by officers, the site of a suspected bomb threat has been deemed safe by officers.

Previously:

Harvard University Police and the Cambridge Police department are responding to an unconfirmed bomb threat Monday afternoon, according to HUPD.

The threat has been reported in the parking lot behind Jefferson Lab.

Police ask that the public avoid the area.
