WATCH: Q&A With Octavia Spencer, Hasty Pudding's 2017 Woman of the Year

"This is overwhelmingly fun."

CAMBRIDGE, MA — After parading through the streets of Cambridge, "enduring her roast" and being awarded her Pudding Pot, Hasty Pudding's 2017 Woman of the Year, Octavia Spencer, sat down with a few colorful characters to answer questions in a live Q&A Thursday night.

"This is overwhelmingly fun," she told reporters, of the Hasty Pudding festivities.

The Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning actress is currently starring in the popular "Hidden Figures," for which she has been nominated for another Oscar. She talked more about that movie in her interview in Cambridge Thursday, as well as describing her "dream role" and sharing her thoughts intersectional feminism.

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals' Man and Woman of the Year Awards are presented annually to performers who have made lasting and impressive contributions to the world of entertainment. The Woman of the Year award was established in 1951.
