CANTON, MA — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Canton so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4th for fireworks and festivities in Canton:

What: Fireworks, Food, Face Painting, More

Where: Irish Cultural Centre, located at 200 New Boston Dr.

When: Festivities start at 6:45 p.m. Fireworks shoot off at 9 p.m.

The fun starts at the Irish Cultural Centre at 6:45 p.m., where there will be inflatables, face painting and airbrush tattoos for kids. Live music from Classic Trax starts at 7 p.m., followed by the fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Food and beverage will be available for purchase. No coolers are allowed. Attendees should be prepared to have their bags checked upon arrival.

Be prepared for a hot and humid day, especially before the sun goes down. Expect a high of 91 and humidity at 46 percent.
