Canton Fire Frees Man Caught In Industrial Equipment

CANTON, MA — A man caught in equipment at a men's clothing factory in Canton Friday morning was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center via MedFlight for treatment. Canton Fire told WFXT-TV it took more than a dozen firefighters about 20 minutes to free the man.

The industrial accident took place at the Destination XL facility on Turnpike Street. A DXL spokesman said the injuries were non-life threatening and that the man was alert Friday afternoon. The company said it would cooperate fully with any investigation.

Canton fire said the man fell onto a conveyor belt and his chest got caught in the conveyor about 7 a.m.
