Canton To Host 'Climate Proof Your Yard' Virtual Workshop

Participants will learn about the local impacts of climate change and how to protect their yards from environmental changes.

CANTON, MA — The Town of Canton will host "Climate Proof Your Yard," a virtual public workshop to help homeowners protect their yards from climate change, on Thursday, April 29 from 7 to 8 p.m.

The interactive workshop, hosted by MassAudubon, the Canton Sustainability Committee, and the Canton Planning Department, will give participants an opportunity to learn about the impacts climate change is having on regional yards and natural resources and discuss how residents can make their yards more resilient to environmental changes, including rain gardens, native plantings, and drought-resistant plants.

The Climate Proof Your Yard workshop will take place via Zoom and those who wish to participate are asked to register here in advance.
