Canton Public Library To Host Spring Book Sale

The book sale will be held this Saturday to benefit the library.

CANTON, MA – The Friends of the Canton Public Library will host its Spring Book Sale on Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the library, 786 Washington Street. All proceeds of the sale directly benefit the Canton Public Library.

Books are now being collected for the sale. Please bring books to the library on Thursdays. The Friends are also seeking boxes. If you can donate boxes, particularly those that held reams of paper, please bring them to the library as well.

The Friends of the Canton Public Library provide important support for programming, services, and equipment not available through the Library's municipal budget. Benefits of joining the Friends include attendance at the Friends only Book Sale Preview Evening, on Friday, June 16 from 5:30-8:30 pm. Memberships may be purchased that evening.

Friends memberships are only $10 per year for individuals, $15 per year for families, and $5 per year for seniors. Corporate membership is $50 per year and Life membership is $100. New this year is Benefactor membership at $250, an annual membership that includes 10 tickets to the Open Book Coffee House. New members, as well as renewing members, can also get a free trial subscription to the Canton Citizen, if they are not already subscribers. All contributions to the Friends are tax-deductible.
