Canton Public School Shares Parent/Guardian Interest Form For All-In Steering Committee
'Based on health data and local and state public safety guidance, the All-in Model serves as our next step.'

Dear Canton Families,
Find out what's happening in Cantonfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
"Over the summer, the Canton Public School District established the Comprehensive Reopening Plan, which featured the Continuum of Learning Models — All-in, Hybrid, Remote Learning 2.0. Since September, CPS staff and families have partnered to implement a safe and successful Hybrid Model, while periodically switching to Remote Learning 2.0 for very targeted scenarios.
Based on health data and local and state public safety guidance, the All-in Model serves as our next step. As noted at the February 4 School Committee meeting, the All-in Steering Committee will work with intentionality to implement the All-in Model, as part of the established Comprehensive Plan.

The All-in Steering Committee will be a diverse group of stakeholders who have important perspectives based on different roles, experiences, grade levels, and skill sets. We are looking to leverage these perspectives around the many considerations involved in an All-in Model shift. For greater details, I encourage you to review the All-in Steering Committee Charter.
Parent/Guardian representation will be a critical component of the All-in Steering Committee. In addition to availability and flexibility, the following criteria will serve as key considerations for the designation of parent/guardian representatives.
- Understand the complexity of the issue of All-in, the desired outcomes and implications of such a decision across multiple stakeholders and domains (e.g., safety, finances, facilities, etc.)
- Be genuinely committed to the success of the All-in strategy (at some point in time) and advocate for broad input, understanding and support of the outcomes being pursued
- Foster positive relationships and communications within the Steering Committee and the Canton community
- Be open to learning; consider new ideas and seek to understand issues raised
If you are interested in serving on the All-in Steering Committee, please complete the Parent/Guardian Interest Form by Tuesday, February 16. The designated representatives will be determined based on the aforementioned criteria and the goal of establishing a balanced set of representatives.
We know the value of having students in school and we have a plan. Now, we need to apply our successful Hybrid Model experiences, safety protocols and community collaboration to the implementation of the All-in Model.
As always, we appreciate your partnership and look forward to maintaining safe teaching and learning environments in our schools."
Sincerely,
Dr. Fischer-Mueller
Superintendent
