Canton Resident Appointed President of Real Estate Organization

David McCarthy recently began his term as President of Greater Boston Association of REALTORS.

A Canton resident was recently installed as President of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS for 2015.

David McCarthy, the operating partner for Keller Williams Realty Boston-Metro and Keller Williams Realty Chestnut Hill Market Center, has begun his term as GBAR president. He was officially installed as President in December during a ceremony at Brae Burn Country Club in Newton.

Over 6,500 real estate professionals are a part of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS (GBAR) throughout the Greater Boston area and Eastern Massachusetts. The organization provides development courses, legal reports and updates, brokerage counseling, recognition awards and more.

McCarthy will serve as GBAR’s primary spokesperson, attend all Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings and appoint chairpersons, vice chairpersons and members for standing committees, task forces and work groups.

McCarthy has been a part of GBAR since 2004. He is a member for the board of directors for the Massachusetts and National Association of REALTORS and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.

He has also chaired the GBAR Strategic Planning, Education, and Grievance Committees and served on the Professional Standards Committee, the GBREB Government Affairs Committee, the MAR Convention Planning and Government Affairs and Forms Content Committees, and the NAR Member Communications Committee
