CANTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing the closure of a section of Dedham Street near the bridge over Interstate 95 in Canton. This closure is already in place and will continue until Aug. 28. The closures will take place each week on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights beginning at 9 p.m. and concluding 5 a.m. the next morning.
The closures are necessary to allow crews to safely and effectively conduct construction operations.
Overnight traffic impacts will continue weekly Sunday through Friday morning until Aug. 28.
A detour route will be in place for travelers during these times. Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers along the detour route.
Drivers who are traveling through the impacted areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
