Public swimming hours for Canton residents at the Bolivar Pool on Bolivar Street in Canton (weekdays & weekends) is from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Local Farmers Markets

The Stoughton Farmers Market is back this Saturday, August 24, bringing fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and entertainment to downtown Stoughton. 

The Farmers Market will run every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Trackside Plaza (2 Canton Street) from June through October.

Crescent Ridge on Bay Road in Sharon also has a Farmers Market each Saturday from June through October from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Dirt Dawg Sports Club Softball Tryouts

Dirt Dawg Sports, a baseball and softball training facility, is holding club softball tryouts for the 2014 season at their Canton facility (40 Industrial Drive, Unit 3A in Canton, right off Route 138).

Registration fee is $10. Tryouts will be held:

August 24 & 25:

• 10U: 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
• 12U: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• 14U: 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
