Deer Management Meetings Planned for Canton

Senator Brian A. Joyce (D-Milton) announced public meetings in Milton and Canton to discuss the 2016 White-Tailed Deer Management Plan for the Blue Hills State Reservation.
Department of Conservation& Recreation (DCR) and Department of Fish and Game (DFW) staff will review outcomes of the 2015 controlled hunt and preview the proposed deer management plan for 2016. All are welcome to attend.

DCR and DFW have issued a report regarding the 2015 Deer Management Program. The report provides details regarding the logistics, operations, and results of last year’s controlled hunt. The full report can be viewed by clicking here.

Anyone wishing to submit written comments on the draft 2016 Blue Hills Deer Management Plan, may submit comments online here or write to the DCR Office of Public Outreach, 251 Causeway Street, 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02114. The deadline for submitting written comments is Friday, August 5, 2016.
