Road Closed After Truck Smashes Into Canton Bridge
Canton police report Bolivar Street was closed at Lawrence Street Wednesday afternoon after a truck failed to clear a bridge overpass.
CANTON, MA — Bolivar Street in Canton was shut down early Wednesday afternoon after a truck slammed into bridge near the intersection with Lawrence Street. Canton police released a photo of the truck that was apparently too tall for the overpass and got lodged under the bridge after the front cabin cleared the overpass.
Residents and those traveling through the town were advised to seek alternate routes until the bridge reopened about 2 p.m.
