Intermittent snow is expected from Friday to Monday, meaning a rare Christmas snowfall could be in store.

CANTON, MA – Christmas weekend – Saturday especially – will be among the busiest shopping days of the year, and Mother Nature won't be taking it easy on you. The National Weather Service this week predicted a smattering of inconvenient winter weather through Saturday, followed by a peek of sun before snow Christmas Eve into Christmas morning.

Rain and snow likely before 9pm, then rain likely between 9pm and 4am, then freezing rain likely after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 31. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Freezing rain likely before 10am, then rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 43. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
