1 Killed, 1 Injured In Charlestown Double Shooting

CHARLESTOWN, MA — Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Charlestown and asking for the public's help in finding out what happened.

According to police, one person was killed and a second suffered serious injuries in a shooting on Decatur Street around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Someone called police around that time to report a crash and gunshots fired near 74 Decatur St. When they arrived, officers found two men in a car suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the men was pronounced dead the other was treated at a hospital with injuries considered life-threatening.

Police said it did not appear to be a random act of violence.
