Today is Thursday, Dec. 16. Here are three things you need to know today.

1. A delicious read

If you haven't experienced Flour Bakery yet, it's almost worth dropping all of your immediate plans — right now — and driving to the nearest and most convenient location to rectify this situation. And then, later tonight, you can head over to , where Joanne Chang, the mastermind behind the famous sticky bun, will be — also called Flour. The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. and it's free and open to the public.

2. Hearing on Bartlett Street

Attention neighbors. The Charlestown Neighborhood Council will be hosting an on the development of 10 Bartlett St. from a two-family to a single-family home. The construction will require a roofline change. The meeting starts tonight at 7 p.m. in the second floor conference room of the MGH on High Street. If you can't make it, you can contact the precinct representative on the council, Bill Galvin, at 617-242-3862.

3. While we're talking about the Neighborhood Council…
