Boston Police to Donate Marathon Proceeds to Slain Charlestown Teen Ryan Morrissey
In November 2014, Morrissey, 17, was shot and killed outside of a Charlestown convenience store.

The Boston Police Runners Club will donate money raised during its annual Boston Marathon fundraiser to help fund a scholarship in memory of Ryan Morrissey.
Seventeen-year-old Ryan Morrissey was shot and killed outside a Charlestown convenience store in an apparent case of mistaken identity on Nov. 5, 2014.
The Boston Police Runners Club will be presenting a $50,000 check to Operation Progress Boston for scholarships to be presented in memory of the teen, according to a recent press release.
