Charlestown Among Boston's Hottest Housing Markets
The average home for sale in Charlestown spends just eight days on the market.

A home on the market in Boston takes an average of 44 days before it is sold, according to the latest real estate figures released by the Greater Boston Association of Realtors.
Depending on the neighborhood, some pieces of property are sold within a week. Many others are sold in just over a weeks’ time.
Boston.com recently took a look at the neighborhoods with lowest time spent on the market. According to their findings, a home in Charlestown spends an average of seven days on the market with a median sale price of $630,000.

Homes in the South End, Jamaica Plain and Newtonville topped the list with an average of seven days on the market as well.
